Insolvency Data Processing Services
GSI maintains and supports the UDS Data Mapper and Secure UDS (SUDS) file transfer platform. Used in tandem, these tools enable liquidators to convert claims system data quickly and efficiently into the required UDS record formats and ensure its secure delivery for ingestion into guaranty fund claims systems.
GSI provides technical support for using the UDS Data Mapper and SUDS platforms at no cost to liquidators and offers the following services on a fee basis. Contact us today to discuss your project and receive no obligation pricing information.
Expert Pre-Liquidation Planning
Planning and preparation are keys to the timely and efficient transfer of insolvent company claims data once an Order of Liquidation is issued. See below for all of the services that GSI can provide related to Pre-Liquidation Planning.
Assessment Services
We work with Receivers, IT vendors, and insolvent company IT staff to assess available data, determine a roadmap for conversion to UDS format, and ultimately create a plan for rapid extraction and distribution to the correct state Guaranty Fund(s). As part of this process, GSI assists in identifying gaps in company data that could cause delays or other issues when transferring to guaranty funds.
UDS Record Formatting and Testing
Upon request, GSI can perform analysis and manipulation of extracted data to structure it so it can easily be converted into UDS records. We work directly with IT staff at state guaranty funds to review and test data prior to liquidation, to ensure any issues are identified and can be addressed as quickly as possible.
Post-Liquidation Processing
Once an Order of Liquidation is issued, time is of the essence. Assuming the steps outlined in Pre-Liquidation Planning (above) were completed successfully, the GSI team moves quickly from planning to execution.
Project Management
We work with liquidators to set timetables for data extraction and transfer, perform any previously identified data transformation steps needed, and help to rapidly distribute data in UDS format to the appropriate Guaranty Fund(s) via the Secure UDS (SUDS) platform.
Secure Cloud Storage
GSI also offers affordable, secure, cloud-based storage solutions for temporary or long-term storage of insolvent company data, if needed.
Ongoing Support
Most initial transfers of insolvency data do not include records for closed claim records. After the initial transfer is complete, our team can process requests for ongoing data transfers between liquidators and guaranty funds for re-opening claims, sending required reporting back to liquidators, and more.
Why GSI?
